Where did you each grow up?

When did you become a members at RedDoor CrossFit?
August/Sept 2016

What do you do when you are not at RedDoor CrossFit? (occupation, hobbies, etc.)
Peter: Work at Belmark. Anything outdoors, paddle boarding, snowboarding, hiking…
Whitney: Real-Estate, Cooking, Cleaning, paddle boarding, camping, hiking

How did you find out about CrossFit?
When we moved to Florida we knew NOONE. Peter was traveling for work and I stumbled upon a Groupon and decided to overcome my fears and try it out, ALONE. It was scary, but so worth it. When Peter got back, I brought him to a Valentine’s Day WOD, so it was a partner workout. He was hooked ever since 😉

When did you realize CrossFit is right for you?
We love that it is a community/family. We realized it was right for us when we no longer dreaded working out, we looked forward to it. We get excited to check the workout at 9P.M.

What is your favorite WOD/movement?
Peter: Muscle-ups
Whitney: Thrusters/burpees

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
Peter: Anything with burpees
Whitney: SNATCH

What would your perfect WOD look like?
Box Jumps
-5 muscle ups in between each set

What is one thing you have done at RedDoor CrossFit that you never thought you would do?
Workout in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Costume.

What motivates you during a CrossFit WOD?
Peter: Whitney!
Whitney: Everyone around me, I like that it’s not a competition, but it is a motivation to keep you going! … And since my husband said me…. Peter of course motivates me too! (it is nice to beat him once in awhile 😉

What is something about yourself that we might not know?
We shared a bar for the first 2 months of CrossFit… woman’s bar with wooden plates.

What advice would you give to someone just getting started with CrossFit?
Stick with it.
No one can do everything at first. It takes lots of practice, and will only make you stronger!
Never be embarrassed, every fails at some point- it is NORMAL.. try your best!
